Well, after what felt like months of not really making substantial progress on anything, I’ve suddenly finished several projects at once!
Yesterday I finished the hand embroidery I’ve been working on. It’s not a portrait, was stitched on water soluble fabric, and still needs some assembly. I’ll start sharing progress photos on my Instagram account next week!
The first project to make a big leap forward, however, happened last week. You may have noticed there was no blog post last week – I forgot to write one. I was preoccupied with the novel I’ve been working on. It’s ready for a new phase! It still has a lot of work left to go, but I was relieved to have passed a big milestone last week.

On Monday, I finished the crocheted blanket I had previously posted about.
It started out as a blanket made from scraps and leftover skeins, but when I reached the end of that yarn stash I realized the blanket was just small enough to be annoying. Naturally, I wanted it to cover a queen sized bed. So I bought more yarn, kept crocheting, and quietly thought I might never see the end of the blanket.

I have also previously shared about my wild free-style knit project. Well, I finally knitted the last row! It’s been bathed and blocked and is now just waiting for some tassels.
It feels good to have made some serious progress and to have some room to consider new projects!
